Garretts Bodyworks Ltd. is a family owned and run company, established 30 years ago to provide customers with an informative claims help/repair service, and insurance companies with a professional and competive estimating/repair facility, rare in those days. We were instrumental in the provision of courtesy cars and our customers were among the first to be kept mobile whilst their own vehicles were undergoing repair.

We have grown to a 30,000 sq.ft. repair centre, using state of the art technology, and skills, to repair 100 vehicles, up to 7.5 ton per week.

The Kitemark is the UK’s most respected and coveted certification mark. To achieve and retain the BSI Kitemark BS10125 Vehicle Body Repair standard, Garretts staff have had to go through the most vigorous examinations, practically and theoretically, to become ATA accredited (Automotive Technician Accreditation). This involves a comprehensive examination of their skills (in the case of panelbeaters – over a period of 4 days) at a nationally appointed test centre. Therefore, in order to be awarded and retain the Kitemark, our technicians must be fully qualified and ATA accredited in their specified field.

THE REPAIR PROCESS

Correct methods must be used at all times during the different stages of the repair process, and the latest equipment has been installed to achieve the utmost standard available.

We can repair any make of vehicle to manufacturers’ standards including new materials used in today’s vehicle production, such as Boron steel and Aluminium.

Water-based paints are used to reduce environmental impact in our 5 low-bake spraybooths and all regulations including EPA and COSHH have been achieved.

With our 2 recovery vehicles, we offer a collection/delivery service and have a fleet of 60 courtesy vehicles, including automatics and light commercial courtesy vans, to keep our customers mobile.

Our premises occupy a prime position with secure, outside parking covered by monitored CCTV cameras 24 hours a day.
